One mom. 4 kids (one borrowed). One popup camper. One month on the road!

I woke up early to scramble doing last minute packing, loading, etc. Logan had a soccer tournament that weekend and we planned to leave directly from his 11 a.m. game. Marc and Logan went ahead to the tournament and the rest of us left home at 10 to pick up Rosie’s friend Ashley. We loaded the camper and car with Ashley’s stuff, took the obligatory pictures and we were off!
We arrived at the tournament and had been worried about parking the camper but had no trouble. It was a great game against a team from Grand Forks, ND, and it ended in a tie. Logan scored the only goal of the game so was quite happy.
We said goodbye to Marc and headed off on our adventure. We were finally on our way and the kids were VERY excited. We started the license plate game with teams of Logan and me, and Rosie and Ashley. Jack couldn’t make up his mind which team to be on.
We stopped at a park in Moorhead on the Red River after a long 4 hours in the car…I walked by the river and the kids got the soccer ball out. I went to college in Moorhead for a year and really liked this park.

We had planned on fast food or sandwiches for dinner but drove by a Space Aliens restaurant and the kids demanded we stop. My kids love the games there and the food isn’t bad at all, some of it is pretty good. We had the most incredible waiter who seemed magically fast...it took him something like 19 seconds to replenish all the drinks.
We reached our campground in Jamestown around 9, plenty of time to set up camp and for the kids to hit the playground. 1 day down, so far so good!
